Located in between the most happening stretch of road in Krabi and the quieter Nopparat Thara Beach, the charming 34 rooms Alisea Boutique Hotel provides its guests not only with the convenience of just a short walk to eateries, bars, shops and night market, but being a short 10 meters off the main road also gives you the peace and tranquility one look for in a beach-town resort.
We had the opportunity to stay at the Alisea Boutique Hotel during our recent drive to Krabi and I just love this old charming hotel. We arrived from Koh Lanta after having our lovely lunch at the Andamana Beach Club and our check in was easy and swift. We are able to conveniently park our car just in front of the main lobby, and they were very helpful to grab our luggage up to our room. The staff were courteous and friendly and always greet you with a smile.
We had the 64 sqm loft suite and it was amazing (only thing is on the 3rd floor and there is no lift in the hotel). As you enter the suite, you will come across a good size bathroom with standing shower stall and a large vanity.
The bedroom is spacious with a large comfortable king-size bed, a small coffee table with a comfy chair, large flat screen TV, and a small balcony. The room is designed in natural colors complemented by classical wood furnishing on some tiled floor, giving the room a very rustic feel.
Our room faces the Andaman Sea which is nice as you can enjoy the calming sea view right from your balcony. The full height glass door of the balcony also allows in lovely light into the room.
The uniqueness of this loft suite that I love so much is the small loft above the room, giving you a small living space (with a Thai day bed) and the loft also opens out to a larger balcony which sits what I would consider the highlight of the room – a classical wooden bathtub which gives you a panaromic view of the area.
As for facilities, Alisea Boutique Hotel boast a lovely infinity pool with an amazing sunset backdrop over its edge. It has a full size pool table and a recreational area for gatherings and meetings on the ground floor as well as a nice quite study area on the 1st floor. If you’re looking for some rub down, check out their Infinity Spa on the third floor.
As for dining, there is an amazing Italian restaurant on site, Umberto’s, which also turns into its breakfast nook for its guest. Breakfast are served in a small buffet line, with a simple mix of local and western items, lots of fresh fruits and salads, as well as an egg station.
I would say Alisea Boutique Hotel is that hotel you want to stay if you’re looking for a cozy charming place where you want to spend a lazy weekend or a romantic getaway at Krabi. The pool is never too busy, the hotel is quiet and not crowded but yet the action is just a few meters walk away. Prices for the hotel starts from just a little over 1000 baht.
