Located about 10 minutes off downtown Hatyai is a newly constructed hotel called Chartame Boutique Hotel. Located at Klonghae (known for the Klonghae Floating Market), Chartame Boutique Hotel is a two-floors industrial-inspired boutique hotel with about 20 rooms.
The hotel has a charming lobby attached to their dining hall, simple but yet chic, with a nice combination of wooden flooring and walls with red brick and cast iron highlights. The place is lighted up with “gas lamps” and enhanced with down lights. I would say its a very cozy dining hall with good lighting from the huge wall to ceiling windows and skylights.
The rooms are about 22 sqm – not huge but good enough for two and definitely more than sufficient if you are travelling alone. Similar theme carries through to the room – concrete finished flooring and walls with red brick and “exposed pipes”. I got a queen size bed which is firm and comfortable.
The room comes with a 32″ LED TV sitting on a long built-in table with shelves. There is an “exposed pipe” which serves as a hanger – pretty creative, I thought.
The bathroom is rather simple – a shower curtain separates the bath from the toilet and the amenities are rather limited.
Breakfast is served in a set – which comprises of fried egg, sausages and ham with toast and yutiao along with a freshly brewed coffee and a pot of Chinese tea.
The service of the hotel is good, but staff speaks minimal English but enough to understand your needs. The location is off the main-road but can be found on WAZE easily and I would only recommend this hotel if you are travelling with your own car. Parking is ample for this hotel.
Prices starts from as low as 600 baht (with complimentary breakfast at least till December 31, 2018) which is pretty good for a nice and clean room and meal. I would suggest this boutique hotel for business travelers and those looking for a neat hotel at a very reasonable price .. great value for money.
