Value for money boutique hotel in Hatyai ~ Lalita Boutique Hotel

If you are heading to the city of Hatyai across the border in Thailand, and looking for a value for money stay, look no further than Lalita Boutique Hotel, located in North Hatyai (pretty much a 5 minutes drive from the heart of Hatyai). Lalita Boutique Hotel is part of the Lalita Group of Companies which not only own this hotel property but also a restaurant on the east side of town, a booming bird-nest business as well as a few property development projects in town.

Lalita Boutique Hotel is a 52-room hotel spread out over 3 floors and there are many types of room design. We stayed in two of the rooms in our recent visit there and it was one of their two Hello Kitty themed room on the 1st floor and the pink-colored room was filled with lovely items of the Sanrio iconic character. The 28 sqm room is comfortable in size with a small attached bathroom.

The second layout of the Hello Kitty themed room looks pretty interesting too (we didn’t stay in this room though) .. check this out.

Meanwhile the standard double room is the same size, with similar layout minus all the pinks and kitty decoration. The hotel is clean and beds are super comfortable.  Standard amenities are available – flat-screen LCD TV, refrigerators, small work table, complimentary drinking water, hair-dryer, and complimentary WIFI.

Only comment I have is the bathroom is a little small but then, how much time do you spend in the bathroom.

Apart from this Hello Kitty room, Lalita Boutique Hotel also boast a Japanese Tatami-styled twin-bedded room, a modern design bunk-bed triple room, the connecting family suite room as well as two types of suite rooms.

Lalita Boutique Hotel also boast a lovely restaurant on-site that serves delicious Thai food, and in the evening you can even be more adventurous and jump on stage and sing a few karaoke songs. The menu is extensive and if you like you can even have them deliver the food to your room.

Parking is ample at Lalita Boutique Hotel and for those driving in, there are two parking lots – one adjacent to the hotel, another is just across the soi from the hotel. For those not driving, it is easy to get a GRABCar to town or the hotel also has shuttle (paid service) for guest to get into town. Airport transfer can also be arrange at the front desk.

All rooms booked at this boutique hotel receives complimentary buffet breakfast for two (three for the triple room). Buffet breakfast is basic ~ usually you will have steamed rice with one meat and one vegetable/egg dish, mini sausages, fried eggs, soup of the day, breads and fruits. Coffee and tea, as well as cordial juices are available too. Although the spread is limited, but I would say their breakfast is rather delicious and I am sure you will be happy with the breakfast there.

Location wise, the hotel is in a quiet neighborhood but you can easily find good food within a few minutes of walking (a famous pork leg rice and kau man kai shop is just about 5 minutes walk away) while there is a 7-11 just around the corner on the main road.

Staff are friendly at this hotel and are always ready to help with any questions you might have and they speak good English. Check-in and out are also a breeze, so no worries about getting hung up when you arrive or about to leave.

Rates for Lalita Boutique Hotel starts from only 690 baht inclusive of all taxes (sometimes you can get room for about RM 70 from online booking site) and I would say it is really value for your money in this clean and convenient hotel.

NOTE: This hotel does not have a lift ~ so for those who don’t like the stairs or have a lot of luggage, I would recommend booking the rooms on the 1st floor.
