No Price Reduction for RON95, RON 97 and diesel as yet

Finance Minister, Lim Guan Eng has announced that the much anticipated lowering of fuel prices will not take place at 12:01 am on January 1 pending the cabinet meeting on January 2, 2019.

Lim said the prices of RON 95, RON97 and diesel will remain at RM 2.20, RM 2.50 and RM 2.18 per liter respectively until the government set new retail prices for these product by the end of the first week of January.

“The Cabinet will meet on Jan 2, chaired by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, to determine the retail prices of petroleum products at the optimum level,” he said.
