If you are looking for a clean, comfortable and affordable hotel in Dannok, you can always look up G9 Hotel Dannok which is located right in the heart of Dannok, surrounded by clubs, food outlets and massage centers.
We had the opportunity to stay at this lovely hotel recently and we find it to be good for the price you pay (room rates starts from RM 80 per night depending on room type and dates). We had the 33 sqm Deluxe Room as well as the 18sqm Connecting Room. This hotel has a lot of connecting rooms, ideal for families and friends who travels together but maybe like a little privacy when they sleep. Check in is easy and quick and they will assist with your luggage if necessary.
The rooms here are basic; comfortable queen size bed, a small work area or vanity, a mini bar, complimentary bottled water and free WIFI throughout the hotel.
The Deluxe Room is much larger and comes with a set of coffee table and chairs.
The bathroom is basic, with a rain shower and hand held shower head, although the hotel provides all the basic toiletries.
The hotel has an in-house restaurant – G9 Restaurant which we had the opportunity to have dinner, and it was delicious. We ordered the Tomyum Gung (prawn), Pla Krapong Neung Manau (Steamed seabass in lemon sauce), Omelette, Stir Fry Vegetable and Pineapple Fried Rice. Everything was so delicious especially the steamed seabass in lemon sauce, and the portion is size-able and affordable.
It is also the venue where we have our daily buffet breakfast.
The buffet breakfast has ample choices and food are delicious. There is a mixture of Thai / Asia and Western items on the buffet line.
There is a nice wholesome spa center located on the 7th floor. The spa packages and massages are priced competitively and they do have a good menu range of spa packages that you can choose from. The spa center also has a mini cinema, sauna, steam and herbal steam room as well as lockers for men and women.
Parking is street side and you might have to park a little further off if its a busy weekend but fortunately we were there during the weekday and can easily find curb-side parking in front of the hotel.
As with all the VHM Hotels in Dannok, a free shuttle is provided to hotel guests for local travel around Dannok town.
Overall for just a little over RM 80 per room, I would say this is a good option for those looking for a weekend escape over the border for some fun or a stop-over to another destination in Thailand or Malaysia.
